Core Technology & Materials

Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC): Unlike standard cables that use many thin strands of copper (which can cause "strand-interaction" distortion), the Black Lab uses a single, solid conductor. This results in a smoother, clearer sound.
Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation: The cable is insulated with air-filled foam. Because air absorbs almost no energy, it prevents the "out-of-focus" sound quality common with cheaper plastic insulations.
Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS): This shielding technology prevents Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from reaching your equipment’s ground plane, which helps keep the background quiet.
Directional: Like most AudioQuest cables, it is directional. You’ll see small arrows on the plugs indicating the direction the signal should travel (from the receiver to the subwoofer).
