Eco-fees

ARPE-Québec is funded through eco-fees applied to the cost of all new electronic products. Eco-fees are neither a tax nor a refundable deposit. The eco-fees associated with each product covered by the program are set based on the actual cost of recycling the materials contained in the product. All program revenues are used for the collection, transportation, and responsible recycling of end-of-life electronics, as well as for program administration.

What is a Sale/Loan?

“A system doesn’t sound the same in the store as it does at home” is something we hear often—and it’s completely true. The store environment is not ideal for carefully listening to a component and doesn’t allow you to really judge the added value it brings to an existing system. That’s why the Sale/Loan program exists. Your living room is our best listening room.

A Sale/Loan is a service offered at SolAudio following several meetings and personalized listening sessions in-store. It consists of consigning one or more demonstration units owned by SolAudio in exchange for a security deposit, payable upon delivery of the equipment and refunded when the equipment is returned.

The Sale/Loan program is not an audio equipment rental service.

A time limit is assigned to each Sale/Loan, for a maximum duration of 2 weeks. Multiple failures to return the equipment within the agreed period may lead to the withdrawal of this privilege, refusal of future consignments, or involvement of law enforcement if the equipment is not returned after several attempts to contact you. If you plan to be away from your residence for a period exceeding the allotted consignment time, please return the equipment beforehand to avoid the consequences of a late return.

The deposit amounts required for consignment vary depending on the category and value of the product. The deposit must be paid in cash or by credit card. At the time of the transaction, you may be asked for personal information such as your name, address, phone number, and credit card number, always in accordance with our Personal Information Management Policy.
