Informations
Product description
The Goldring E2 is a mid-tier moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge in Goldring's budget-friendly E Series lineup. It is primarily designed as an accessible, high-performance upgrade over stock or factory-installed turntable cartridges.
Core Features & Design
-
Upgraded Aluminium Cantilever: The primary difference between the entry-level E1 (carbon cantilever) and the E2 is its stiff, lightweight aluminum cantilever. This provides better rigidity, allowing the stylus to trace mid and high frequencies more accurately with reduced distortion and improved transient response.
- Spherical Stylus: Features a bonded 0.6 mil spherical (conical) stylus. Spherical styli are very forgiving with setup geometry and minor surface imperfections on older or worn records.
- Magnetic Duplex Technology™: Uses a dual-magnet arrangement arranged in a V-shape to mirror the geometry of the original record-cutting head. This improves channel separation (>20 dB) and delivers a wide, open soundstage.
- Factory Alignment Calibration: Pre-adjusted during manufacturing so that azimuth/tracking angles are pre-set, making installation on standard 1/2" mounts simple and forgiving.
