The Goldring Eroica HX is a high-output moving-coil (HOMC) phono cartridge designed as a direct plug-and-play upgrade path for users running standard Moving Magnet (MM) phono stages. It replaces the older Eroica H, combining the refined micro-detail of a moving-coil design with an output level high enough that you do not need to buy an expensive, specialized MC preamp.

High Output via MC Design: Uses an ultra-fine, hand-wound copper wire coil system on a pure-iron cross-armature. This provides a 2.5 mV output, allowing it to plug straight into a standard 47kΩ MM phono input without requiring a Step-Up Transformer (SUT) or specialized MC preamp.
- Gyger II Diamond Stylus: A nude, fine-line elliptical diamond tip featuring a tiny 5-micron playing radius. This shape fits deep into the groove to extract fine detail and micro-dynamics with minimal tracking distortion.
- Pocan Body: The body is molded from Pocan (a glass-reinforced polyester composite). It is lightweight, exceptionally rigid, and non-resonant to prevent added mechanical coloration.
