Product Description
The HiFi Rose RD160 is a flagship Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) that emphasizes highly isolated circuitry, a fully balanced design, and advanced technology for pure audio reproduction.
"Hidden" AMOLED Display: This is one of its most striking and unique features. The front panel, machined from a single piece of aluminum, appears simple and minimalist when off, but an AMOLED screen shines through the faceplate when powered on.
Premium Build: It features an all-aluminum chassis, machined from a single block to minimize vibrations, giving it a solid, high-end feel. It is available in silver or black finishes.
Dual-Chip AKM DAC: It utilizes a two-chip solution from Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM): the AK4191EQ for digital filtering and initial conversion stages, and the AK4499EX for the final Digital-to-Analog conversion. This division of labor is designed to drastically reduce noise and interference.
ROSE CIM™ Architecture: This stands for Completely Isolated Module architecture, structurally separating the digital and analog circuits to prevent crosstalk and achieve a very high Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR).
Triple Independent Linear Power Supplies: The unit uses three separate, custom-designed linear power supplies to feed the digital input stage, the left analog channel, and the right analog channel independently. This minimizes noise and interference for cleaner audio dynamics.
High-Precision OCXO Clock: It incorporates an Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO), one of the most accurate and stable clocking mechanisms, to maintain perfect timing and significantly reduce jitter (timing errors in the digital signal).
