Core Audio Technology

The XiO uses a "technological armada" of 12 drivers, each powered by its own dedicated Class D amplifier, totaling 820W of peak power.

• Uni-Q MX Drivers: It features six miniature versions of KEF’s signature Uni-Q driver array. These place the tweeter in the acoustic center of the midrange cone, creating a wide "sweet spot" so the sound remains clear regardless of where you sit.
• P185 "Racetrack" Woofers: Four specialized 7-inch x 2-inch rectangular drivers handle the bass. Because of their shape, they provide the surface area of a 4-inch circular woofer while allowing the bar to stay only 2.8 inches tall.
• Force-Cancelling Configuration: The woofers are mounted back-to-back to cancel out mechanical vibrations, allowing for deep bass (down to 34Hz) without causing the soundbar or your furniture to rattle.
