The Neodymium Engine: Standard MM cartridges use heavier bar magnets. By using Neodymium, Rega created a much more powerful magnetic field with less mass, resulting in improved high-frequency response and better detail retrieval.
- Fine-Line Stylus: The Nd7 uses the same advanced "fine-line" diamond profile found on Rega’s high-end MC cartridges like the Apheta 3 and Aphelion 2. This profile has an exceptionally small radius (3µm), allowing it to track minute groove variations that standard elliptical styli miss.
- Rigid, Low-Mass Body: The body is made from glass-filled PPS, inspired by their MC range. It is designed to be zero-tolerance and ultra-lightweight to reduce stress on the tonearm bearings.
- Rega 3-Point Mount: If you have a Rega tonearm, the three screws ensure perfect alignment and "plug-and-play" installation without the need for a protractor.
