Product description

Upgrade a wide range of audio/video components, constant- and variable-current alike, with AudioQuest’s Blizzard 3-pole AC power cable. Blizzard features Semi-Solid True-Concentric Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors that have been carefully controlled for directionality to efficiently drain RF-noise. ZERO-Tech ensures uncompressed current transfer while RF/ND-Tech minimizes circuit misbehavior by cancelling induced RF-noise for quiet backgrounds and thrilling dynamics. Blizzard adds AudioQuest’s patented 72v Dielectric-Bias System, which further reduces radio-frequency noise.

Core Technologies

The Blizzard stands out because it combines several of AudioQuest’s patented technologies to create a "blacker" background for your music.

  • 100% Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+): Unlike lower models that may use a mix of metals, the Blizzard uses only PSC+. This extremely high-purity copper has a smooth surface that minimizes distortion caused by "grain boundaries" in the metal.
  • 72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS): This is the most visible feature—a battery pack attached to the cable. It creates a stable electrostatic field that polarizes the insulation, reducing "time-smear" distortion and allowing for more detail to emerge from the silence.
  • ZERO-Tech (No Characteristic Impedance): Most power cables compress current during loud musical peaks. ZERO-Tech ensures the cable doesn’t resist these transients, allowing for uncompressed, "visceral" power delivery to your amplifier.
  • Ground-Noise Dissipation (GND): This technology prevents RF (radio frequency) noise from being picked up by the ground wire and dumped into your sensitive audio circuits.
