Diamond Coax features extreme-purity Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors and a Carbon-Based 6-Layer Noise-Dissipation system for the most efficient dissipation of radio-frequency noise.

Core Technology

Solid 100% Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS): Unlike lower models that use silver-plated copper, the Diamond uses solid, high-purity silver. This material is chosen to minimize distortion caused by "grain boundaries" in the metal, resulting in much higher clarity and dynamic contrast.
72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS): You’ll notice a small battery pack attached to the cable. This creates a stable electrostatic field that polarizes the insulation. This prevents the insulation from storing and releasing energy, which AudioQuest claims significantly reduces time-delay distortions.
6-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS): It uses alternating layers of carbon and metal to "shield the shield." This prevents RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) from reaching the ground plane of your equipment, which can otherwise "mask" low-level musical detail.
