Interconnect

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA is the entry-level model in AudioQuest’s "Bridges & Falls" series. It is designed to be a high-quality, budget-friendly upgrade over the "throwaway" cables that typically come in the box with audio components.

Named after the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge in Seattle, this cable is best known for its slim, flexible design and clean signal transfer.

Product description

Connect a wide range of audio electronics with this AudioQuest Evergreen RCA analog interconnect, meticulously designed for outstanding flexibility and versatility. Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors minimize distortion, Foamed-Polyethylene insulation preserves dynamic contrasts, and a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation efficiently dissipates high-frequency noise for cleaner, clearer, more naturally beautiful music.

Key Technical Features

  • Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC): Unlike standard cables that use stranded copper, the Evergreen uses solid conductors. This prevents "strand interaction," a major source of signal distortion, resulting in a smoother, clearer sound.

  • Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry: This design separates the ground and shield paths. By giving the ground a lower-impedance path, the cable achieves a "blacker" background with less floor noise.

  • Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation: The conductors are encased in air-filled foam. Because air absorbs almost no energy, it minimizes the "out-of-focus" effect often caused by other insulation materials.

  • Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS): This acts as a shield for the shield, reflecting and absorbing radio frequency interference (RFI) before it can reach the ground plane of your equipment.

  • Cold-Welded Gold-Plated Plugs: Instead of using solder (which can introduce distortion), AudioQuest uses a high-pressure "cold-weld" process to connect the cable to the RCA plugs.
