The SR225x is famous for being fast, detailed, and incredibly forward. If you like feeling like you're standing on stage with the band rather than sitting in the back of the hall, these are for you.

The "x" suffix denotes the 4th generation of this model. Grado made a few meaningful tweaks over the previous "e" version:

  • New Drivers: The 44mm drivers were specifically tuned for the SR225x to improve efficiency and reduce distortion.

  • The Cable: They moved to a 8-conductor braided cable that is much more durable and uses "super annealed" copper wire for better signal purity.
  • Improved Headband: There’s a bit more padding in the headband compared to the older, thinner versions, which helps with long-term comfort.
