The H150 introduced several "firsts" and upgrades compared to the outgoing H120:
- Built-in MM Phono Stage: For the first time at this level, Hegel included a high-quality Moving Magnet phono preamp derived from their standalone V10 phono stage.
- USB-A Drive Support: You can now plug a solid-state drive or hard drive directly into the back for local file playback, controlled via the app.
- Advanced Streaming: It supports Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and UPnP. It is also "Roon Ready" (though certification may still be pending depending on your current firmware).
- TV Integration: One of the optical inputs is specifically optimized for TV use, and the amp comes pre-loaded with IR codes for most major TV remotes, allowing you to control the amp’s volume with your Samsung, LG, or Sony remote.
