The HiFi Rose RA180 is a high-end integrated amplifier known for its unique, retro-futuristic, or "steampunk" aesthetic and its innovative Class AD amplification technology. It's a pure analog amplifier, meaning it does not have a built-in DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) or network streaming capabilities.
Class AD Amplification: HiFi Rose has developed its own "Class AD" (Advanced Class D) technology, which utilizes Gallium Nitride (GaN) FETs instead of traditional silicon FETs. This allows for significantly faster switching speed and lower "dead time," aiming to achieve the high efficiency of Class D with the linear, natural sound quality often associated with pure analog amplifiers.
Four Mono Amplifiers: The RA180 is essentially a four-channel amplifier, featuring four 200W mono amplifier modules.
Build Quality: The chassis is made from high-purity aluminum and is known for its exceptional, solid build quality.
