0.5% Silver-Plated Conductors: While subwoofers handle low frequencies, the "attack" or transient response of a bass note actually relies on higher-frequency components. The silver plating helps these signals travel more efficiently along the conductor's surface, resulting in punchier sound.
- Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation (NDS): This system "shields the shield." It’s designed to prevent Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from reaching the ground plane of your equipment, which lowers the noise floor and prevents hum.
- Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation: Uses air-filled foam because air absorbs almost no energy. This minimizes "out-of-focus" distortion common with cheaper plastic insulations.
- Cold-Welded Gold Plugs: Instead of using solder (which can introduce distortion), the connectors are attached using high pressure. This creates a cleaner, more stable connection between the wire and the plug.
- Integrated Ground Wire: You’ll notice a small extra wire with spade lugs on each end. This is a dedicated ground wire to eliminate "ground hum" if your subwoofer setup is prone to buzzing.
