KEF LS LUXE

The most immediate differentiator of the LS LUXE is its striking appearance. KEF collaborated with visionary British industrial designer Ross Lovegrove (who also designed KEF’s legendary six-figure MUON speakers).

• Organic Geometry: The cabinet features fluid, rounded, edgeless curves designed to eliminate edge diffraction and prevent internal standing waves.
• Advanced Materials: The shell is molded from Bulk Molding Compound (BMC), a highly rigid thermoset composite. This material provides incredible structural density without the need for thick internal wooden bracing, maximizing the speaker's internal acoustic volume despite its relatively compact footprint.
• Finishes: It comes in high-gloss, premium finishes including Eclipse Black, Dusk Titanium, and Mineral White.

Under the sculpted hood, KEF deploys its top-tier acoustic technologies:

• 12th-Gen Uni-Q Driver Array: The signature coaxial array places a 25 mm vented aluminum dome tweeter exactly at the acoustic center of a 165 mm (6.5-inch) aluminum mid/bass cone. This "single-point source" architecture ensures uniform sound dispersion across the room.

• MAT (Metamaterial Absorption Technology): A maze-like structure sits behind the tweeter, absorbing 99% of unwanted rear sound radiation. This drastically reduces distortion and delivers incredibly clean high frequencies.
• Mechanical Decoupling: The entire Uni-Q driver assembly is floating on a flexible chassis that isolates the driver's vibrations from the cabinet walls, keeping the sound remarkably pure.

The amplification setup is robust and highly specialized, pushing 380 watts per speaker (760W total system power):

• Tweeter: 100 W of Class A/B amplification for warm, precise highs.
• Mid/Bass Woofer: 280 W of Class D current-drive amplification for powerful, efficient lows.
• Velocity Control Technology (VECO): The LS LUXE features a closed-loop sensor system that actively monitors the physical velocity of the cone in real time. If the cone deviates from the expected audio signal, VECO injects instantaneous electronic corrections to eliminate distortion before it reaches your ears.
• Music Integrity Engine (MIE): KEF’s proprietary DSP system that manages phase alignment and tonal balance so the speakers sound full and rich even at lower volumes.
