The Rega Planar 3 RS Edition (where "RS" stands for Rega Special) elevates Rega's iconic Planar 3 deck by trickling down technology from higher-tier models like the Planar 6, 8, and 10. Instead of buying a base Planar 3 and upgrading piece-by-piece, the RS Edition delivers a pre-packaged, fully optioned turntable.

Key Features & Upgrades

• Brushed Aluminum HPL Plinth: The standard MDF plinth is wrapped in a high-pressure laminate (HPL) with a dark brushed-metal aluminum skin and high-gloss black edges. This makes it the stiffest plinth Rega has ever built at the Planar 3 level, significantly dampening resonance without adding unnecessary mass.

• Neo MK2 Power Supply Included: Instead of using basic wall power, it ships with the external Neo MK2 PSU. Each power supply is individually hand-tuned to its specific 24V motor to suppress micro-vibrations. It also gives you electronic push-button speed switching between 33⅓ and 45 RPM.
• Rega Nd5 Cartridge: Comes factory-fitted with Rega's moving-magnet Nd5 cartridge, which features a nude elliptical diamond stylus, ultra-thin wire coils, and a neodymium magnet structure.
• RB330 Tonearm & Reference EBLT Belt: Retains the RB330 tonearm while driving the sub-platter via Rega’s high-precision Reference EBLT belt for tighter speed stability.
