The Rotel CD11 MKII is a high-performance, entry-level audiophile CD player released in late 2023. It serves as the direct successor to the highly acclaimed CD11 Tribute (which was co-engineered with the late audio legend Ken Ishiwata).

The MKII maintains the "sound-first" philosophy of its predecessor but introduces over 10 critical component upgrades to the digital circuitry and power supply to improve resolution and soundstage.

  • Upgraded DAC: It features a premium Texas Instruments PCM5102A 32-bit/384kHz Digital-to-Analog Converter. This is paired with custom-tuned digital low-pass filter circuits designed to deliver a more "analog," non-fatiguing sound.

  • Improved Disc Transport: The player uses a proprietary Rotel tray-loading mechanism. The MKII update specifically includes a smoother-action tray and a silent-running motor controller for more precise, noise-free playback.
  • Enhanced Power Supply: A linear power supply provides independent voltage to the motor control and the sensitive audio circuits, which helps reduce internal noise and electrical interference.
