Product Description

Design and Construction

  • Purpose: The S4 is a wide rack system, designed to accommodate larger components and, in many configurations, two full-sized audio components side-by-side on each shelf.

  • Vibration Control: A primary focus of the design is vibration isolation.

  • Tubes/Pillars: The supporting pillars are made of painted, anodized aluminum and are filled with a damping material (like StratoCell foam) to minimize internal and external resonance.

  • Shelves: The shelves are made from 0.86" thick MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) with a polymer laminate finish, chosen for its superior damping factor and rigidity compared to standard wood.

  • Feet: It rests on six solid steel carpet spikes for decoupling the rack from floor vibrations, and comes with protective discs for use on hard floors.
