The H150 introduced several "firsts" and upgrades compared to the outgoing H120:

• Built-in MM Phono Stage: For the first time at this level, Hegel included a high-quality Moving Magnet phono preamp derived from their standalone V10 phono stage.
• USB-A Drive Support: You can now plug a solid-state drive or hard drive directly into the back for local file playback, controlled via the app.
• Advanced Streaming: It supports Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and UPnP. It is also "Roon Ready" (though certification may still be pending depending on your current firmware).
• TV Integration: One of the optical inputs is specifically optimized for TV use, and the amp comes pre-loaded with IR codes for most major TV remotes, allowing you to control the amp’s volume with your Samsung, LG, or Sony remote.

• Power Output: 75 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms (Class AB).

• Damping Factor: Over 2000. This is exceptionally high for an amp in this class, providing "grip" and authority over speaker woofers for tight, controlled bass.
• SoundEngine 2: Features Hegel’s patented feed-forward technology that cancels out distortion in real-time.
• DAC: A custom 4-layer design inspired by the high-end Viking CD player, utilizing an AKM-based architecture for natural, neutral sound.
