Sound Profile & Sonic Performance
-
Imaging & Soundstage: The KEF LS50 Meta feature KEF's 12th-generation Uni-Q point-source driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT). Sound radiates as if from a single point, offering exceptional instrument separation and holographic soundstage imaging.
-
Control & Grip: While rated at 75W into 8 ohms, the Hegel H150 features a extremely high damping factor (over 2000) thanks to its SoundEngine 2 tech. This gives it dynamic headroom to control the LS50 Meta's demanding lower impedance dips and low sensitivity (85dB).
- Tone & Tonal Balance: Hegel amplifiers are neutral, dark-background, and clean. Combined with the detailed nature of MAT, the system produces clean, uncolored mid-range vocals and silky treble without becoming overly analytical or fatiguing.
- Full-Range Bass: The KEF KC62 uses dual oppose-driven 6.5-inch force-canceling drivers and Uni-Core tech to dig down to ~11 Hz in room. It fills in the lower frequencies below ~80 Hz where the LS50 Metas naturally roll off, transforming a pair of compact bookshelf speakers into a full-range system.
