The Vicoustic Super Bass Extreme Ultra VMT is a specialized bass trap designed for corner mounting, specifically engineered to tackle low-frequency standing waves and "room boom" in smaller spaces.
Unlike standard foam wedges, this is a multi-layered acoustic tool that uses a combination of materials to transform sound pressure into air motion.
Core Technology & Performance
The panel operates on the principle of a Helmholtz resonator combined with a membrane and high-density foam.
- Internal Membrane: When sound pressure peaks in the corners, the internal membrane vibrates sympathetically. This movement forces air through high-density foam layers, converting acoustic energy into heat (absorption).
- VMT Front: The "VMT" (Virtual Material Technology) front is made of VicPET Wool (recycled plastic). It’s designed to look like solid fabric or wood but is actually acoustically transparent enough to allow bass to pass through while providing some mid-to-high frequency absorption to control corner reflections.
