The Wharfedale EVO 5.4 is the flagship 3-way floorstanding tower in Wharfedale's EVO 5 series. Positioned as a direct bridge between high-end, reference-grade engineering and real-world affordability, it inherits key technologies directly from Wharfedale's top-tier Elysian line.

Core Engineering Highlights

• Upgraded AMT Tweeter: The 35×70 mm AMT driver uses a pleated diaphragm that squeezes air rather than pushing it like a conventional dome. This creates fast transient response, very low distortion, and an exceptionally wide horizontal soundstage.

• Dedicated Soft Dome Midrange: Instead of forcing the woofers to handle mid frequencies, a dedicated 2-inch dome covers the critical vocal band (825 Hz to 4 kHz). This yields uncolored, articulate vocal reproduction and clean separation.
• Down-Firing Slot Port (SLPP): Bass energy exits through a tuned slot between the bottom of the cabinet and the integrated plinth. This reduces port turbulence and makes the EVO 5.3 much easier to position near back walls compared to rear-ported designs.
• Resonance-Damped Cabinet: Features multi-layer real-wood sandwich construction with internal spot-bracing to minimize cabinet coloration.
